One bored Friday night some friends and I went to see a movie and picked Mean Girls pretty much randomly. It turned out to be one of our favorite movies.

I love Tina Fey! She wasn't my favourite Weekend Update anchor, but she was a great writer and she's way better now in 30 Rock than she was on SNL. She's not only a great writer, she's also a great improv comedian!
I think Mean Girls is one of the only two good movies about teenagers/high school.

jorge- huh?? the 80s is filled with great teenager/high school movies!! most of the 90s and 2000s ones stink though
I'm not a big fan of any movies from the 80s. What I liked about Mean Girls was how dense the jokes were, how realistic it was, and how intelligent its literary references were (like with Julius Caeser)
